Loading ...I am a foodie, right – I love good food. Who doesn’t, right? But I am no food snob – guzzling inane things cos they are posh or hip. The £50 espresso comes under that and another category – ICK!
Why in God’s name would I drink coffee that has been passed through a cat’s system? Yeah you heard that right. Presumably, the coffee beans were fed to the cat and once he pooped it, were then used to make the coffee. Oh and not just any regular cat, an Indonesian civet cat!
Kupi Luwak beans come from Indonesia and are harvested by civets, the indigenous wild cat. These clever felines sniff out the choicest berries, digest the flesh, and pass out the bean in the way that nature intended.
Like that makes it any less icky!
The human element arrives in what must be the most highly specialised job on the planet – the tracking down of civet droppings and their careful rinsing to reveal the pristine and flavour-enhanced bean.
Can you just see the job descrip on this poor guy’s resume? “What do you do? Oh I collect cat poop!”
Come on people! I am sure the civet is laughing is ass off, watching the toff humans slug the brew that he shat!
EEEEEEEEEEEYUCK!!! This is clearly insane. Good I’ve never had that type of espresso. Collecting coffee beans from cat poop!! How do they know he eats only choicest beans? Anybody talking cat lingo? What’s the world coming to?

well, apparently it’s really good. and they don’t deliver right as it is from cat poop to the coffee mug, they have to roast and husk it same as all the other coffee beans. however, the reason I won’t drink is coz I’m not dumb enough to pay $100+ for coffee. duh.
