We’re off to Disneyland to celebrate P turning 6 earlier this month. Yours Truly, of course, is the tour photographer and little else. I shall see you all next week! Y’all have a nice Easter break and may the Force be with you.

One of my former colleagues told me about a habit she had instilled in her children and I decided to adopt it straightaway as it was sound. She told me that she always told her children to have a £5 bill folded and stashed away in one of the many compartments of their purses at all times. This money was strictly for emergency and if it was used, it must be replenished asap.
The daughter, who was also a mate, told me of this time at Uni when she went …

Let me state at the outset: I love Jeremy Clarkson and his sense of humour. When British television is full of gay comedians pulling everyone’s legs in the hope of getting a few laughs or stand ups mouthing lines well thought out backstage to canned laughter, this guys is rip roaringly funny purely for being himself. One wouldn’t expect to be rolling along the aisles while watching a motoring show but that is what I seem to do most Sunday nights, when Top Gear is aired. Even my …

I know I ‘declared’ a blog holiday but this post was prompted by my little man. The first thing he uttered when he woke up this morning was ‘Happy Boxing Day’, followed swiftly by the ubiquitous ‘what is Boxing Day?’
I was ashamed to admit I did not know. But the truth was, I hadn’t a clue. While I kidded ‘this is the day we box’ and proceeded to have a jokey ‘boxing’ session with him, the question remained in my mind. So we decided to make a game of it …

As you can see from the above vid, there were cars, autos and other vehicles patiently waiting for the road to clear. The decibel level is pretty high too. This was taken at around 9 am in the morning. The same event occurred at 3.00 am that morning (or night – whichever way you look at it!). Understandably, I shot out of bed wondering what the racket was about.

Through bleary eyes, I noticed the devoted mass dancing in the streets. Whilst I do give it to them that they …

Question: What do you call someone who wanks off looking at pictures of children?
Easy answer, right? Maybe that point struck this blogger AFTER he posted the following piece of text.
Puke of the Day

Someone must tell this woman. That, the probability of a random set of verbs, nouns, adjectives and gerunds magically falling in perfect order to form a ‘meaningful’ sentence is 10^(-78).

Else, one could just tell her — I masturbated looking at your kid’s photo. Thanks.

In case anyone missed that great line, …

Everyone has a favourite song. Couples have their own “couple’s song”, a bar of which triggers powerful harmone-induced reactions in them. Inspired by the movies, most families have a kudumba paatu, mainly so estranged members of the family can find each other in situations like Trade Fair, Ideal Home exhibition etc.
Me, I have a whole soundtrack to my life. Let it not be said I do anything by halves!
This is highly unintentional though. For the past week or so, my ears have been constantly assautled by Channel Five, day and …

One evening last week, I opened the doors to see an old couple with a ‘I accept you though you are not doing the right thing’ kind of look on their faces and a bound book under the crook of their arm. I knew straightaway I was looking at two hardened Bible thumpers and I was going to be there for the better part of an hour arguing theology with them.
I could do what any regular Joe does – slam the door in their faces and carry on with my …

Did anyone see the blurb about the near-farce that took place amidst the Princess Diana inquest? When the jurors and other related judiciary were walking around the Ritz area in Paris, trying to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding the Royal’s death when there was an entirely unrelated commotion, thanks to the presence of one Victoria Beckham. Apparently, she exited front row centre and proceeded to calmly get on with her busy life. Tabloids the next day sported ridiculous headlines such as this: Victoria Beckham upstages Diana – I …

As if I needed any reason to rant and rave, the Mad Momma has gone and given me one in the form of a tag. The topic this time, ‘what are we most judgemental about?’ This is a dicey one as I keep shouting that I *hate* it when people are judgemental and S will not miss the chance to rub it in my face. Hence, I shall alter it slightly to ‘what irks me the most re people’. Here goes:
1. I get irked when one is forced to choose …
