Unbelievable!

My Baby is 6 today! I know, I cannot believe it! I keep looking at him, looking just the same as he did yesterday and the day before and today, suddenly, he is a year older. How surreal is this? Where was the red-faced, wrinkled, squalling baby I held seconds after he was born? When did he go and become this child-person who talks cohesively? What the hell have I done with the years?Already, he is concerned that he is becoming older (!) and that in a few years his voice would break ‘into pieces’! I am not ready for this!In the meantime, happy birthday dear heart! May you spread happiness and cheer around you always. And, more importantly, may you always have it in you.

Happy B’Day to Dear Pratik from Aunty Apu & Uncle B…what the budday-party-plans? Or is that another post?
Oh thank you, aunty and uncle. We are not having any biggo party as we are taking him to EuroDisney later on in the month. But in the eve, we’ll be going ice skating. Er, as in, they will skate or try to and I, in my delicate condition, will stand clear and take piccies. Then it is off to Nando’s for some chicken for them and beans and leaves for moi.
Happy Birthday to baby.
Thanks, Jaya!

wow – you guys were really in a hurry werent you? he turned up within days of the first anniversary… :p
and of course he will always have it in him….
We can always hope for the best, MM…
He actually turned up the day after the anniv – which was the due date given to me! So guess how we spent our first anniversary?
Happy Birthday to P.
I agree with MM. You guys really were in a hurry weren’t you? You will have a teenage boy when you reach my age! I cannot imagine myself as a mother to a teenage boy (girl is even worse). I am feeling dizzy even thinking about it.
Thanks for the wishes.
Not exactly in a hurry but let us put it down to ariyamai! And I think it will be an advantage, being a young mummy! I can even become one of these yummy mummies the media is so fond of talking about. And don’t think of the teen Avni. One step at a time. There’s a lot of time for that yet!
