‘Guess who these women are?’ quizzed the hubby.

I took one look at the taller, blue saree-clad figure and thought it must be some hijra person from North India but was blown why it would make news. The shorter figure twigged something in my brain – albeit after closer, deeper looks.

Imagine my shock horror when I finally figured they were the Williams sisters! Oh my eyes! My eyes!

Everyone, please read this excellent article by Deepa Krishnan on sarees and the whys and why nots. I could not put it better myself.

    LOL! I thought of exactly the same thing when I first saw them. Only on reading the caption below, did I realise they were the Williams sisters!


    Boy am I glad to have company or what? I mean, seriously, WHAT prompts them to don such outfits and make absolute idiots of themselves?

    LOL!! Poor things – They probably have no clue how misguided this saree venture was. Feel a bit bad giggling so hard at this picture . But what the heck, they’re so rich and successful we can have a guilt free laugh i guess!!
